Application function of veterinary B-ultrasound in cattle farm

B-ultrasound is a high-tech means to observe the living body without any damage and stimulation, and has become a favorable assistant for veterinary diagnostic activities. Veterinary B-ultrasound is one of the main tools for detecting early pregnancy, uterine inflammation, corpus luteum development, and single and twin births in cows.

B-ultrasound has the advantages of intuitive, high diagnostic rate, good repeatability, rapidity, no trauma, no pain, and no side effects. More and more widely, and the use of veterinary B-ultrasound is also very extensive.
1. Monitoring of follicles and corpus luteum: mainly cattle and horses, the main reason is that large animals can grasp the ovary in the rectum and clearly show various sections of the ovary; the ovaries of medium and small animals are small and are often covered by other internal organs such as intestines. The occlusion is difficult to grasp under non-surgical conditions, so it is not easy to show the ovarian section. In cattle and horse ovaries, the probe can be passed through the rectum or vaginal fornix, and the condition of the follicles and corpus luteum can be observed while holding the ovary.
2. Monitoring the uterus in the estrous cycle: The sonographic images of the uterus in the estrus and other periods of the sexual cycle are obviously different. During estrus, the demarcation between the endocervical layer and the cervical myometrium is obvious. Due to the thickening of the uterine wall and the increase of water content in the uterus, there are many dark areas with low echo and uneven texture on the sonogram. During post-estrus and interestrus, the images of the uterine wall are brighter, and endometrial folds can be seen, but there is no fluid in the cavity.
3. Monitoring of uterine diseases: B-ultrasound is more sensitive to endometritis and empyema. In inflammation, the outline of the uterine cavity is blurred, the uterine cavity is distended with partial echoes and snow flakes; in the case of empyema, the uterine body enlarges, the uterine wall is clear, and there are liquid dark areas in the uterine cavity.
4. Early pregnancy diagnosis: the most published articles, both research and production applications. The diagnosis of early pregnancy is mainly based on the detection of the gestational sac, or the gestational body. The gestational sac is a circular liquid dark area in the uterus, and the gestational body is a strong echo light group or spot in the circular liquid dark area in the uterus.
